Ahhh, Valentines Day, the day of hearts shaped balloons, plenty of chocolate, and happiness all around...except in my house.
Today has been one hectic Valentines Day! It started out with Michelle and I babysitting this morning. After that, we did school, I had tennis for two hours, and we ended the day babysitting for a different family. And just when I thought it was all over...I had the fright of my life!
After I got home from babysitting, I went up to my moms room where she and Michelle were. Lucy was also out and running around on my mom's desk. After a while, Michelle took her back to her cage, and we talked for a while longer. At last, I decided to go get ready for bed. As I walked out into the hallway, I glanced down and noticed the cats together. My attention was caught further, when I realized that LUCY was out of her cage, in the hallway, and the center of attention for two psychotic cats!!!! I let out a yelp, and scooped Lucy up. After a quick examination, I found her unharmed, and upset that her adventure had come to an end. After I had shot many evil and accusing looks in Michelle’s direction, we examined the cage to figure out how she had escaped. As it turns out, Michelle had latched it wrong, so Lucy was able to push the door open and explore at her leisure. There’s no telling what might have happened if we had not caught her when we did! Thank you God that I decided to go to bed!

Allow me to explain...
I am sure that many of my adoring fans are wondering about the randomness of my current poll, and wondering why I have an option, "My name is Michelle so of course I would".
Amazingly enough, kissing a fish head is not some random thought that originated in my complex and random mind. For some strange reason, Michelle has kissed fish heads once or twice. I think it all started when some good friends of our family (who are amazing cooks and own a resturant "Flavor". You should go there some time.) came over for dinner. They brought the food, and part of it was this huge fish, head and all. After the head was severed, Michelle proceded to kiss it. Don't ask why. I think we might even have a picture to prove it. So that is the story of the kissing fish.

Mexico!
I'm super excited because I am going on the High school Mexico Mission Trip!!!! I will be doing skits in Colonial something or other. My spanish is still terrible, but hopefully I will be able to learn some more while I am down there. I am also excited because two of my best friends are in the same village as me. I don't know which village Kayla is in yet, I don't think she knows either. Is anyone else going? Hasta Luego!

Hair!!!
Hello everyone, like the new Template?
I hope you noticed my new poll. Hair is fun. I pity guys. They don't get to dress up their hair really cool unless they want people to think they have mental problems. They may think they like it that way, but if they were to try and grow their hair out, they would see how much fun it is to style hair! Please don't think that I WANT you all to grow your hair out and style it, I am just pitying you because girls get all the fun with hair................I guess thats all I have to say for now on the subject of hair.

Again I say AUGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
AUGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER I QUALIFIED FOR NATIONALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am sure most of you already know that Michelle took 7th, and I took 1st for our speeches at Point Loma. Wow, when they announced Michelle as 7th, I thought for sure I was going to get third again. I owe a LOT to Lucy. In fact, as I was walking back to my seat after we got our awards, the guy announcing said that the first place expos was a speech about rats. As funny as that may seem, may I point out that my speech is on PET RATS, not just rats, Pet rats. Everyone seemed to miss that part, despite the obvious clarity in my speech topic. One Judge even wanted to know why I never elaborated on the "dark side" of rats. Hmm...Maybe because I was trying to make rats LOOK GOOD, and not 'dark'.
I wonder where Nationals will be this year...they didn't announce it.
See everyone else who qualifies/qualified there!
AUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGG

Not again...
Yet again, the Rowlands have been hit with a barrage of toilet paper. This time silly string was included, and it was a PAIN to clean up. The string was all brittle, and it snapped at the slightest touch, making it impossible to clean up. We are pretty sure it was the Devitts, or one of Johnny's friends. If it was any of my readers, let me just say that...we would have preferred NOT to clean up T.P. the day before Point Loma, when we have ten billion other things to do. (such as finishing the memorization of my speech. = o

What is Wrong With Me This Year?
Well folks, this is it! Just a mere five days before Christmas. It really snuck up on me this year. Normally by this time, I am begging my mom every few minutes to let me open just ONE present early. Maybe the fact that no presents are under the tree yet has taken some of the wind out of my post-Christmas excitement, but who knows? If you have read Michelle's post, then you are probably aware that Michelle and I often manage to discover one or two of our gifts each year. But this year, I am sadly lacking. To my understanding, Michelle knows of at least three or four of her gifts, but I am in the dark on every single one of mine. Sad, isn't it? A few years ago, I stumbled upon one hidden in the trailer, and another one that was mentioned in my moms email. The year or so before that, Michelle unwrapped one of her presents, and since I was getting the same thing (just different color) I knew what mine was. But this year I am yet to discover a single one....oh wait, I lied. My grandma sent me and Michelle home with our Christmas present last week after baking cookies, and she could see through the wrapping paper. As it turns out, Michelle, Johnny and I will be receiving a children's rhyme book about the history of evolution. Ohhhh dear. Well, thats all for now!

Look at the yites!

Well, however ridiculously early it may be, we put up our Christmas lights today. And when I say we, I mean I. Johnny came out to help me, but in the end, all he did was jump off the roof onto the trampoline and take random pictures of himself. I am still not done, as there are more lights to be put up, but I got most of it done. It looks very nice. There is one slight problem however. Despite the fact that I tested each strand before putting them up, one strand won't light up. I might be able to fix it with my dads help, but then again, I might not. Once all the lights are put up, I will probably put up a picture. Merry Christmas everyone!

Happy Thanksgiving!
Well, happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope your day is filled with food, friends and family. For me, today also happens to be my 15th birthday. I had a wonderful breakfast of toaster strudels, bacon, and orange juice. I also received many nice presents from everyone except Johnny; he hasn't gotten me one yet. After breakfast, my dad, Johnny and I played flag football at a high school event. My team won, and I even scored a touchdown! It wasn't that great or anything, but we were at the one yard line...I think, and OJ. told everyone but me to run left, and I would run right. The plan was that I would be open for the pass because everyone would be over on the left field...and it worked! Amazingly enough, I caught the ball and scored! We would have won without my touchdown, but it was pretty cool all the same. So, once again, Happy Thanksgiving!

I Have Nothing to Say, That is All.
I am at a loss of what I should write about. Other than my birthday falling on thanksgiving this year, nothing exciting has been happening. Do you have any suggestions? I would appreciate any and all feedback on the matter.
Cheers!

Why don't you girls do the dishes?
These were the words that struck fear in my heart every time I heard them. This past weekend, Michelle, Kayla and I all volunteered at HeartStone (Which is a camp near Ukiah) during the Father Son Fishing Trip. It was a lot of work, but a lot of fun. The only downside was dishes. And when you are cooking food for 50+ people, then there are going to be...a lot...of dishes. Us girls weren't the only people volunteering, we just happened to get stuck with dishes the most.
First day: We arrived at camp at around 4 o'clock, and went to work right away in the kitchen. I helped set up tables and make pizza, and Kayla and Michelle offered to start with dishes. Little did they know how often their hands would be submerged in greasy water. After dinner was basically taken care of, I helped them with the drying and putting away.
Next day: Us three girls were scheduled for lunch and dinner, meaning we didn't have to wake up super early to make breakfast. At around 8 we got up and went to go get breakfast and start on lunch prep. When we showed up, everything was basically taken care of...except dishes. So we donned the aprons and spent the next half hour or so scrubbing, rinsing, and drying while the other three girls finished cooking and cleaning up other stuff. They finished about 15 minutes before we did, and spent the rest of the time chatting.
That night: We did the dinner (which was delicious I must say) and at first, I looked like we weren't going to have to do any dishes, for Mr. Walker and Mr. Regalia were doing them. After they were about halfway done however, they asked if we could take over so they could have dinner. Of course we didn't refuse. Except for frequent bathroom trips on the part of Kayla and Michelle, we remained at the sink and the towel till all was clean. Guess who gets to get up at 6 the next morning??
Third day: We arrived at the kitchen.....almost right on time due to a silent alarm clock, and prepared breakfast. As the time neared for the other girls to show up and help, us three made sure to find occupying jobs so as to not get stuck with another round of dishes...and it worked. When at 8:30 the other three came in, Mrs. Walker set two of them to dishes, and the other girl to helping us with lunch. Ahhh how sweet it was to slice oranges and package cupcakes rather than to scrape off food from mounds of dirty plates. Since this was the last day of the camp, we had to clean up EVERYTHING and pack up for winter.
I and another girl cleaned up the snack shack...Michelle and another girl cleaned out the cabins...And poor Kayla had to help clean up the kitchen, which meant finishing the dishes. It was so cold, I almost envied her with the warm water as I dug can after can of soda out of a refrigerator.
All in all, I had a wonderful time, and if anyone is interested, there will be a workday up at HeartStone this Saturday. I will probably be going, and I would love to see some of you there!
Cheers!

Touché Tourney
Hey everyone, sorry I have not posted recently. I have had a cold all week, and just haven't had much inspiration for a post. How about I talk about the Touché tournament?
On Saturday Touché hosted its annual debate tournament. Holly and I were running the timers booth. All we really had to do was set up the timer numbers each round, and make sure they were all taken for each round. This may not seem very hard, but we also had to sign in every timer. We had a sheet with the names on it, but they weren't alphabetized, sometimes the last name was first, sometimes the first name was first and sometimes the name wasn't even on the sheet! In between each round, I had no assigned jobs, thus leading to near fatal cases of boredom. I hung out with Michelle Kayla and Jocelyn, but they all left before the tournament was half over. I also hung out with Holly when she was around, but most of the time it was just me. Michelle was signed up for the kitchen, but she got permission to leave early. Unfortunately, Mrs. Ortiz forgot that Michelle was the only one scheduled to help in the kitchen in the afternoon. So Madeline and I began working in the kitchens. I didn't mind, and was glad of something to do. So the day passed rather slowly, until came time to announce the finalists. Yay for Patrick and Jonah for making it to the finals!!!! So I watched them debate, and during dinner, Holly taught me how to swing dance. During the awards ceremony, I sat in the sound booth with Michelle and my dad, so I got a pretty nice view. All in all, it was a pretty good tournament, and at times I found myself quietly wishing I was debating. TTFN!!!
